Wanna Bee Racing
(THREE GENERATIONS OF BOAT RACERS)
was originated in 1992 by the Grigg family when they acquired a 7 litre hydroplane.  Working diligently through the winter they made their debut in spring of 1993.  The driver was John Grigg Jr., who was new to the now Grand National Hydroplane class, having graduated from a 5 litre boat.

In 1993 the Wanna Bee claimed a few awards.    By the end of the season the Wanna Bee Racing team had accomplished the following:
1st Place M.A.C.H. Series for Grand National Championship
3rd Place for the Grand National Hydroplane Series
4th Place in the Summer Nationals at Hampton Virginia

Not bad for his rookie year in the BIG BOAT!

By 1994 things heated up a bit more.  John took the Wanna Bee and plunged into the racing season!   By the year end the Wanna Bee had received many awards and titles.

1998 thru 2007 the Wanna Bee was put to bed to allow John to step up to race the Grand Prix class with Jack Stetser in Xanadu racing.

In 2008  The Wanna Bee returned to the water.
